

Kabir, Rumi, Nanak, Meera, Narottama Dasa, Surdas and Tulsidas are some famous Bhajan composers in India. Sufi Songs, Qawwali, Kirtan, Aarti or Gurbani are all somehow related to Bhajan.

Some Bhajans in local regional language also includes tales and incidents from scriptures or teachings of saints. Singing bhajans are very common in temples and shrines in India. It can also be a reiteration of ‘ Mantra’ in a musical way.
